Census worker won't take no for answer

| May 22, 2013 9:00 PM

A Census worker drew a complaint to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after he repeatedly returned to the residence after being asked to leave. The resident said the worker was very confrontational.

When contacted by a deputy, the worker said people are bad citizens if they don’t fill out the information requested by Census workers, and said the deputy was a bad citizen too, for not giving him the information he asked for, even though it was private information.

The deputy then contacted the worker’s regional supervisor to describe the danger the worker was putting himself in by saying he works for the federal government and then being confrontational with people. That supervisor agreed to contact the worker’s field supervisor to advise that the worker be re-trained on how to deal with people.
