Museum screens Hitchcock classic
Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak are caught up in the suspense of "Vertigo,” which will be screened at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Museum at Central School in Kalispell.
“Vertigo,” one of Alfred Hitchcock’s darkest and most compelling suspense films, tells the story of police detective Scottie Ferguson (Stewart), who has a crippling fear of heights and an all-consuming obsession with a married woman. When an old friend asks him to tail his wife (Novak), Scottie is drawn into a vortex of deceit and murder. But that's only the beginning as a mesmerizing score draws Scottie to the film's haunting final shot.
Seating is provided, but people may also bring their own floor pillows, portable chairs or whatever is comfortable for viewing the film. The screening is free.
The Museum at Central School is located at 124 Second Ave. E. in Kalispell. Call 756-8381 for more information.
