Graduation week ahead for local seniors
Hundreds of seniors from around the valley will don caps and gowns to celebrate their high school achievements at upcoming graduation ceremonies.
Students will say goodbye to high school and enter into young adulthood when they switch their tassel from right to left.
The first event is today for 31 Flathead Valley Home School graduating seniors.
The home-school ceremony starts at 2 p.m. at the Christian Center, 255 Summit Ridge Drive, Kalispell.
Following is a roundup of other commencement ceremonies in the Flathead Valley:
Bigfork High School graduation is scheduled at 11 a.m. June 1 in the school gym. Sixty-two seniors are slated to graduate.
Bridge Academy in Kalispell will hold graduation for approximately 58 students at 7 p.m. May 30 in the Linderman Education Center gym.
Columbia Falls High School anticipates about 138 graduates will participate in the 11 a.m. June 1 ceremony in the high school gym.
Flathead High School’s graduation ceremony is planned at 7 p.m. May 31 in the gym. There are 296 expected graduates.
Glacier High School’s graduation is 11 a.m. June 1 in the school gym. About 301 students are expected to graduate.
Laser Alternative School in Kalispell will hold graduation for 15 students at 11 a.m. May 30 in the Linderman Education Center gym.
Stillwater Christian School graduation is 6:30 p.m. May 31 in the gym. Nineteen seniors will graduate.
Whitefish High School expects 115 graduates at its 1 p.m. June 1 ceremony at the Majestic Valley Arena, 3630 U.S. 93, Kalispell. This is a new location because of construction at Whitefish High School.
Whitefish Independent High School will hold graduation for 10 students at 1 p.m. May 30 in the Hope Outdoor Classroom. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Whitefish Middle School auditorium.
