Kalispell police are asking for help find a serial sexual assault suspect.

According to a news release from Patrol Capt. Tim Falkner, the suspect is being sought in connection with three assaults that occurred May 16, 23 and 24.

The victims targeted were high school girls, with the same victim targeted in the May 23 and 24 assaults.

In each case, a man physically assaulted the victim and threatened to cause further harm, but the victim was able to escape without physical injury. No weapons were used in the incidents, which all occurred between South Main Street and Flathead High School.

In at least two of the assaults, the man was reported to smell like marijuana.

The man is described as being between 18 and 24 years old, white, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, thin with short — almost shaved — blond hair and facial hair only under the chin and on the neck. He was last seen wearing a gray zippered hoodie, blue plaid shorts and tennis shoes.

Kalispell police have heightened their patrols in the area of the attacks.

Anyone with information or seeking further information is asked to contact Falkner at 758-7788 or School Resource Officer Cory Clarke at 751-3476.

People who see a person who matches the description of the suspect are warned not to attempt to confront the person but to contact the police department at 758-7780 or call 911 if a crime is being committed.
