Seven Northwestern A players all-state in softball
Four players from Polson, two from Frenchtown and one from Columbia Falls have been named to the Class A all-state softball team from the Northwestern Conference.
The all-state selections are: Polson — Shalaina Duford, senior; Heidi Rausch, senior; Martina Marquardt, senior; Jaylin Kenney, junior; Frenchtown — Abby Indreland, senior, Morgan Ray, sophomore; and Columbia Falls — Ashley Trueblood, sophomore.
Frenchtown defeated Polson 2-1 on Saturday in Belgrade to win the Class A state championship.
Columbia Falls finished third.
The seven all-state players also headline the 2013 Northwestern A all-conference team. First, second and honorable mention players are listed below by positions:
