Softball: 5 Kalispell players voted all-state
Four Glacier girls and one from Flathead were voted to the Class AA all-state team and first team all-Western conference on Tuesday.
The Wolfpack’s Jena Willis, Kayleena Ikeda, Ali Williams and Marysa Rogozynski were each named all-state following a remarkable run this season that finished with a third-place trophy at state. Flathead senior Sidney Alberts made the team as a designated hitter.
Alberts, a strong pitcher for the Bravettes before injuring a finger on her throwing hand midseason, also was named second-team all-conference in the circle. Glacier’s Hannah Atlee made the second team as a utility player.
Flathead’s Abbie O’Brien and Glacier’s Kayla Russell and Taylor Riggles were honorable mention selections. The list, voted on by coaches, names the top players at each position in Western AA.
