Warrant trumps bad behavior
Monday night, a Hungry Horse woman called 911 and told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office a man was ripping up her clothing. She then hung up. When called back, she said it was her boyfriend and he had a knife in his hand. While on the line, dispatchers overheard the couple talking about the woman’s warrant in another state. The woman later stressed everything was fine and she did not feel threatened by the man ripping up her clothing.
Someone reported a man dressed in camouflage walking along Montana 83 with a rifle. The man was walking 12 miles and took his rifle because he had encountered a grizzly bear on the walk before.
Earlier Monday, a Browns Road man reported hearing “very loud” gun shots in the area. A deputy advised it was people safely shooting at exploding targets that are legal.
A Bigfork man said a friend keeps calling and blaming him for his stolen television. The man said he doesn’t mind the friend calling, he just wants the friend to stop harassing him about the television.
People saw a young child having a seizure at the Hungry Horse Reservoir. They couldn’t find anyone else around the child so they took her to North Valley Hospital. Staff at the hospital alerted the sheriff’s office.
Someone reported a young boy at a bar in Lakeside. The child was reportedly running around the bar and casino and sitting up at the bar while his parents were not watching him. A deputy advised someone else had already called and the situation had been taken care of.
A Columbia Falls man reported seeing local prostitution ads on the website Craigslist.
A man pulled over by a deputy said he never got his wallet back. The wallet was later returned.
Monday morning, a Dodd Avenue woman reported hearing gun shots and suspected her neighbor was shooting at her pets. She advised the man has shot a pet in the past. The man told deputies he wasn’t shooting any guns.
Someone stole a television from an unlocked home on Vista Lane in Bigfork, a caller said.
A man pulled over by Whitefish Police Sunday called Monday to say he never got his proof of insurance card back from the officer.
Polson Police arrested someone for disorderly conduct at the sheriff’s boat dock Monday.
