Seniors sought for county RSVP panel

The Flathead County commissioners are looking for seniors interested in serving on the RSVP Committee.

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program members assist in assessing county needs, help with fundraising and resource development and advise on volunteer recruitment, retention and reception. There is one opening on the board, with a term that will end Dec. 31, 2015.

Anyone interested in serving should submit a letter of interest including his or her name, address, daytime phone number and qualifications. Send letters to Flathead County Commissioners, 800 S. Main St., Room 302, Kalispell, MT 59901.

Letters of interest should be received no later than 5 p.m. June 7.

Library offers help for those seeking grants

The Flathead County Library System and the Flathead Nonprofit Development Partnership will host two free workshops on resources for grant seekers on Friday in the basement meeting room at the main library in Kalispell.

Part 1: Using the Foundation Center, 10-11:30 a.m. — This workshop will be led by Rishara Finsel.

Part 2: Selecting Funders, 12:30-2 p.m. — Using a case study and group discussion, Chany Ockert of NpDP will share strategies for selecting and interacting with foundations.
