Guns pulled in doggone dispute
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was drawn into a doggedly fought dispute between neighbors on Dorothy Street in Columbia Falls.
The fight began when one man started shouting at his neighbor to shut his dog up after the dog, which was in a kennel outside, started barking.
The man allegedly pulled out a pellet rifle and started shooting it at the dog, at which point the neighbor walked over, pulled the rifle away and threw it in the driveway, breaking it. He then pulled a revolver out of his pocket and pointed it at the man. The pair separated themselves and went back into their homes.
