Man denies further burglary charges
A Kalispell man already alleged to have been behind at least one of several burglaries has pleaded not guilty to new charges.
Anthony Shull, 24, originally pleaded not guilty April 11 to felony counts of burglary and theft. On Thursday, Shull pleaded not guilty to amended information in the file now alleging five counts of felony burglary, one count of felony theft, and one count of misdemeanor theft.
The additional charges have ballooned Shull’s exposure from an original maximum sentence of 30 years and a maximum fine of $50,000 to a maximum of 110 years in prison, six months in the Flathead County Detention Center, and a fine of up to $301,500.
The original charges stemmed from Shull allegedly being found in possession of items stolen from Flathead Travel during a Feb. 23 burglary. He also allegedly lied about his name initially and was identified by an officer with whom he was familiar.
Shull is currently incarcerated in the detention center, where his bond is set at $40,000. His next hearing is set for June 12.
