Move to Improve, a free wellness program offered to the community through Shepherd’s Hand Clinic in Whitefish, will hold a pre-holiday kickoff on Monday, Nov. 4.

A community meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 5150 River Lakes Parkway in Whitefish, with sign-in and stretching at 6 p.m. The program features weekly exercise and one-on-one sessions with a health coach, plus guest speakers and teaching sessions.

Move to Improve classes are offered each Monday at the same time and are open to the public.

“We want to inspire participants to get motivated over the holidays,” Program Director Bridget Wirth said.

Goals of Move to Improve are to establish a habit of regular activity and nutritional eating, reduce and eliminate health risk factors and increase participants’ confidence and quality of life.

During the 12-week program participants will keep daily logs and on a weekly basis will track their weight and other vital statistics such as blood pressure and body mass index.
