Whitefish looks to fill openings on city boards

The city of Whitefish has several upcoming vacancies on city boards and committees.

v Whitefish City County Planning Board — two positions for two-year terms; applicants must reside within Whitefish city limits.

v Whitefish Lakeshore Protection Committee — one three-year term; applicants must reside on Whitefish Lake or own lakefront property within Whitefish city limits.

v Whitefish Housing Authority — two positions; open to city residents or residents within a 10-mile radius of the city. One position will fill the remainder of a term expiring Dec. 31, 2014; the other position is for a full five-year term.

v Impact Fee Advisory Committee — one two-year term for a person from the development community; applicant must live or work within the Whitefish zoning jurisdiction. The committee meets once annually.

v Mountain Trails Park Master Plan Steering Committee — two positions for at-large members of the public who don’t have any affiliation with the present users of Mountain Trails Park.

Those interested may submit letters of interest to the Whitefish City Clerk’s office at 418 E. Second St. or mail to P.O. Box 158, Whitefish, MT 59937 by Nov. 22.
