Commissioner recovering from surgery

Flathead County Commissioner Cal Scott is taking some time off to recuperate from knee replacement surgery but is expected to be back on the job by Nov. 12.

Scott said he was hospitalized Oct. 30 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center to have his right knee replaced and was released the evening of Nov. 1.

“I think I’m doing pretty good,” he said Wednesday.

Scott said he has been doing some commission work from home, checking emails and making phone calls “in between pain pills and naps.”
