Pairings, times set for state volleyball tournament

Western AA regular-season champion Glacier and runner-up Flathead are in opposite brackets for the Class AA state volleyball tournament, which begins Thursday in Bozeman at Brick Breed Fieldhouse.

Glacier, the No. 1 seed from the Western, plays No. 4 Eastern seed Great Falls High at 10 a.m.

Second-seed Flathead faces No. 3 Eastern seed Bozeman at 4 p.m.

If Glacier (21-3) and Flathead (17-10) win their first- and second-round matches Thursday, they will meet in Friday’s semifinal at 6 p.m.

The championship match is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead finished second at state last year.

In Class A state tournament action Thursday in Bozeman, Northwestern divisional champion Columbia Falls starts off with Miles City, the second seed from the East, at noon.

Columbia Falls is competing at state for the second straight year.
