Cash, backpacks, phone, more swiped from shop

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a burglary report from a shop on U.S. 93 west of Whitefish Sunday, involving about $3,500 in backpacks stolen along with $150 in cash, a cellphone and credit cards.

There was a report of a large commercial farming vehicle traveling down Conrad Drive and knocking down multiple signs because of its wide berth.

A man calling from River Place said his girlfriend had the keys to his vehicle and house and was refusing to give them back.

A man calling from Saddle Loop in the Bigfork area said he and another person were being threatened by a man with a gun that was recently stolen.

A woman calling from a West Cottonwood Drive residence in Evergreen at about 7:30 p.m. reported that there was an extremely intoxicated man, who she didn’t know, banging on her door and trying to get in. The man eventually did gain entry, but the occupants were able to remove him from the house. He went to another house in the neighborhood, where he was arrested.

There was a report of a 16-year-old boy choked by his mother’s boyfriend at a residence on Nicholson Drive.

 

Whitefish Police got a report Sunday regarding an extremely intoxicated man refusing to leave a Central Avenue bar. The man eventually left.

There was a report of a business sign stolen from Paddlefish Sports on Wisconsin Avenue.

A woman calling from Copperwood Court said she saw a suspicious man in a van who attempted to talk to her children. He took pictures of them before driving off.

 

Columbia Falls Police responded to a report of a 14-year-old girl attacking a woman at a 12th Street West residence Sunday after the girl’s cellphone was taken away. The girl ended up getting arrested.
