A Kalispell woman accused of burglarizing a Church Drive home and then wearing clothing stolen from the home in Facebook photos has denied the allegations against her.

Jenna Swain, 21, entered a not guilty plea Thursday in Flathead District Court to a felony charge of burglary stemming from the alleged Aug. 18 incident.

According to a court document, the resident of the burglarized home first contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office about the burglary before talking to a neighbor, who identified Swain as a possible suspect. Swain had been living in the neighbor’s house.

The resident then went on Facebook and looked up Swain’s account, allegedly finding photos of Swain wearing the resident’s clothes.

Swain later reportedly contacted a deputy and told him she entered the house through the front door and took the items.

If convicted, Swain faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000.

Her next hearing is set for Feb. 12.
