There are still a few days left to drop off shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

The initiative fills shoe box-sized gifts with toys, school supplies and hygiene items for needy children around the world. Operation Christmas Child is a year-round project of international Christian relief by the evangelical organization Samaritan’s Purse.

Lynn Taylor, Operation Christmas Child’s area coordinator, said she hopes to collect more than 5,000 boxes this year.

Those who want to participate may drop off their boxes at The Lab, part of Fresh Life Church at 120 Second St. E., Kalispell.

Drop-off times are from 4 to 6 p.m. today, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.

The boxes will be loaded into a truck and shipped out Monday. No late boxes can be accepted.
