Ex wrecks home after bad breakup
Extremely icy conditions on Rose Crossing left one motorist uninjured but trapped in a vehicle when it slid off the road and became lodged between trees, pinning the doors shut. The road was temporarily blocked while emergency responders helped the stranded motorist and waited for a county street department truck to bring sand for the dangerous road.
A bad breakup on Empire Loop led to three calls to the Kalispell Police Department, first when the now-ex-girlfriend refused to move out, then when she broke things in the house three hours later before agreeing to take the baby and stay somewhere else for the night, and again two hours later when she showed back up and trashed the home, at which point she was arrested.
A report of flames coming out of the roof of a Stillwater Road home turned out to be a controlled burn on a nearby hillside that, when seen from below, appeared to be coming out of the home.
