Deer Fest scheduled for Saturday

Hunters: Take time for some classic rock before you head out into the woods.

Deer Fest: A Blessing of the Hunt, takes place from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Indian Springs Ranch in Eureka.

Hang Dynasty, featuring members of the Steve Miller Band, will provide the music. Deer Fest also features food, beverages, a bonfire, fireworks, a raffle and a blessing of the hunt by Kootenai tribal members.

Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for youths under 6.

The event is a fundraiser for the Fortine helipad and for local fire departments.
