Man takes a bite out of marital strife

Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a man after a fight and subsequent argument in which he threatened to kill his wife, according to scanner traffic. The man also reportedly bit the woman.

A Fifth Avenue West man caught a young boy going through his car, and when he approached, the boy freaked out and said he was on methamphetamine and hadn’t stolen anything. The man did not want charges pressed.

A parent in an East Idaho Street motel reported a man in another room texted their 14-year-old daughter and said he had “room for her and a bump,” and believed the text was referring to drugs.

An officer advised a man on West Center Street to use the sidewalk instead of the middle of the road.

A man was banned from an Eighth Avenue West property after he was reported choking a man’s sister. An officer reported both people had been mutually fighting.

A Seventh Street West man reported an unknown motorist drove through his fence and damaged his property while he was out walking his dog.

A woman was banned from a West Center Street store after refusing to leave and causing a disturbance.


A Haugen Heights resident called the Whitefish Police Department to share their unhappiness regarding several people on Trestle View Court and Stumptown Loop after the people kept leaving their garbage cans out in violation of the city ordinance, drawing bears into the alley.

A very drunk man was arrested after allegedly slapping a woman then running away from the area.

A person reported a man pulled out a baggie of white chunks at his house and offered to sell the person methamphetamine.

A truck on East Fourth Street was egged and sprayed with whipped cream.

A woman reported someone got into her daughter’s vehicle on Central Avenue, going through her purse and other items and also pouring gasoline inside.


A Columbia Falls Police Department officer was called to deal with a drunk man causing problems at a Nucleus Avenue bar and a pair of drunk people walking down the street. The group, who were all very drunk, was advised not to go back into the bar. They told the officer they had a ride coming.

Officers were unable to locate a drunk man and woman reported yelling at each other and staggering into traffic on Ninth Street West.

A wallet containing $1,800 but no identification was found at a Ninth Street West business.
