Avis B. Corcoran, 90

Avis B. Corcoran, 90, of Columbia Falls passed away in Whitefish on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013. 

She was born in Pembine, Wisc., on Jan. 4, 1923. 

She raised five children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Corcoran; and her son, Howard Dean Mulvihill. 

She is survived by her children, Carol Foster, Pat Erickson, Kathy Huffman and Mike “Corky” Corcoran Jr.; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Avis was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved to see her family and work in the yard. She cared for any stray animal that happened to come into her yard. She fed many birds, including an odd group of chickens, and rabbits and stray cats.

A simple service for family and friends will be held at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Fairview Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
