Glacier earned a first-place vote and the power atop the Class AA coaches’ poll shifted this week.

Billings Skyview’s four-set upset of defending state champion and previously undefeated Billings Senior vaulted the Falcons to the top spot for the first time this season, garnering seven of the 12 first-place votes. Senior, which held the position for most of the last two seasons, fell one spot to No. 2, still managing to collect four votes as the best in the state.

Glacier picked up a first-place vote for the first time this season, earning respect as the West’s top squad. Glacier remains undefeated in conference after wins over Flathead and Sentinel last week.

Flathead picked up votes in the poll after an impressive five-set outing against the Wolfpack, falling two spots short of the top five.
