Health center hosts two forums on insurance
The Flathead Community Health Center will host forums Friday and Monday to inform the public about the Health Insurance Marketplace for the federal Affordable Care Act.
Certified application counselors will answer questions and work one-on-one with people to help them sign up for medical insurance.
Enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace began Oct. 1; open enrollment ends March 31, 2014.
Friday’s session starts at noon in the second-floor conference room of the Earl Bennett Building, 1035 First Ave. W. in Kalispell. Monday’s session starts at 6 p.m. on the third floor of the Earl Bennett Building.
For more information, call 758-2615 or email outreach@flathead.mt.gov.
In Eureka a similar session is planned on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the National Hotel building. Walk-ins are welcome from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m.
Another forum is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 30, depending on the level of public interest.
Certified application counselors for the Eureka forum were hired with grant money through the Northwest Community Health Center in Libby and have been enrolling residents in the Health Insurance Marketplace already through the Libby office. For more information call (406) 293-3755.
