Lawrence P. 'Larry' Moser, 63
On Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, Lawrence P. “Larry” Moser, 63, of Martin City “began his journey into a new life.”
Larry was born in Norristown, Pa., on August 3, 1950, to Cecelia and Jacob D. Moser, Jr.
He grew up fishing, hunting and trapping with his dad and brothers, and close friends David Pudelka and Simon Darche, and welcomed the family’s move in 1971 to Montana where he raised his children with his wife Linda, to whom he was married for 16 years.
He spent his lifetime working in the family business, Moser Cabinets, starting with his Dad and all of his brothers, and most recently with his youngest brother Chris and nephew Jed, who will continue the family tradition. Together they created fine custom woodwork and cabinetry and enjoyed each other’s company.
Larry enjoyed living life simply and filled his days with gardening both indoors and out, caring for and breeding his birds, fishing with buddy Jeff Armstrong, and hunting with his brothers and friends. One could call him a real “Mountain Man” since he was able to live off the land for the most part, thus receiving the nickname “Laredo.” Later in life, he enjoyed an annual visit with his cousin Jim Conlin and his sister Nancy down in the Florida Keys for some fishing and good times.
Larry’s twinkling eyes and contagious laugh will be dearly remembered by all who knew him.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Jake; son, 2nd Lt. Travis Moser; brothers, Dan and Bill; sister-in-law, June; and partner, Marge Libby.
He is survived by his mother, Cecelia; son, Jake and wife Kim; daughter, Kelly and husband Damian Tennyson; grandchildren, Hunter, Alexandra, Trinity, Eadric and Caeden; mother of his children, Linda Fleming; sister, Nancy; brother, Chris and wife Pam; sister-in-law, Judy Moser; and many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and friends including his close friends David Pudelka and Simon Darche.
The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Larry may be made to the Martin City Fire Department.
Arrangements have been made with Columbia Mortuary for visitation from 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28. Services will be held to celebrate Larry’s life at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
