Vote for repeal and Osorio-Khor

The Kalispell city election this year is probably one of the most important ones that has occurred in many years. Two issues are on the ballot that can have a long-term effect on all the citizens of Kalispell: The only contested council seat in Ward 3 and the City Airport.

Due to redistricting, I now reside in Ward 3 after having served three terms on the council representing Ward 1; however, due to my severe hearing impairment, I could not be a candidate in my new ward.

In my opinion, Karlene Osorio-Khor is the candidate that best fits the concerns of Kalispell’s residents of all ages. She has business experience, served on community organizations and was a worthy member of the city’s Impact Fee Committee. From time to time she has appeared before the City Council on issues affecting the citizens. I heartily recommend Karlene Osorio-Khor to serve Ward 3.

Karlene has stated how she will vote on the airport issue, for repeal of the 5-4 decision to expand the City Airport. Those who have followed council voting in the past know I do not want expansion but want to rehabilitate the community airport in its present footprint. Expansion would impact wards 1 and 2 due to larger planes being able to use an otherwise small aircraft facility. I will be voting FOR REPEAL. I hope voters take time to contemplate this important election.
