Glacier 3rd, Flathead 4th in AA volleyball ranking

A pair of key road victories over Helena High and Helena Capital over the weekend lifted Flathead into the No. 4 spot of the Week 7 Class AA Coaches Volleyball Poll.

The Bravettes (15-10 overall, 8-3 Western Division) last week received votes, but not enough to be ranked in the Top 5.

Glacier (19-3, 10-0), ranked No. 3, also swept the Helena schools in the Capital City on Friday and Saturday. That helped the Wolfpack earn a first-place vote.

Top-ranked Billings Senior (21-1, 9-1 Eastern) garnered 12 first-place votes and 64 points in the poll. Billings Skyview (19-4, 9-1 Eastern) is ranked No. 2.

Helena High (13-8, 7-4 Western) is No. 5 this week.

Bozeman and Great Falls High also received votes.

The regular season in AA ends this week.

Glacier hosts Missoula Hellgate tonight and plays at Missoula Big Sky on Thursday.

Flathead’s finale is Saturday at home with Missoula Big Sky.

State play-in matches will be held Nov. 7-9. The state tournament is Nov. 14-16 in Bozeman.
