Cross Country: Glacier frosh Smith wins Libby Invitational

Glacier freshman Bailey Smith started off her high school cross country career with a dominant performance, winning the Libby Invitational on Saturday. 

Smith won the invite by 12 seconds, running the three-mile course in 19 minutes, 39 seconds. 

“She ran well and had a lot left,” Glacier coach Mike McLean said.

Glacier’s Logan Harmon finished second in the boys race, crossing the line in 16:34. 

Sandpoint, Idaho won the team titles for boys and girls. 

Glacier and Columbia Falls are off until Friday to run the Cut Bank Invitational. Libby and Whitefish will run the Coaster Invite in Idaho on Saturday.
