Artists on display during local tour

The Hockaday Museum of Art’s fourth annual Local Color Studio Tour takes place Sept. 14 and 15. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Artists and artisans working and living in the Flathead Valley will demonstrate their skills for visitors and engage the viewers in the creative process. Diversity is assured with a wide variety of media, including glass, metal, pottery and buckskin clothing. Artists painting using oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic and dye on silk are also part of the tour.

Participating artists include Lavonne Burgard, Karen Chesna, Celinda English, Kim Ingwaldson, Ardith Karlsen-Scovel, Kris Kramer, Karen Leigh, Shelle Lindholm, Robert Markle, Susan Miller, Gini Ogle, Lee Proctor, Elaine Snyder, Sheri Trepina, Sherry Wells and Julie Wulf.

The tour includes studios located in Bigfork, Columbia Falls, Kalispell, Lakeside and Whitefish. Admission to all studios is free.
