Computer freezes on Kardashian sex tape

Tuesday afternoon, a Flathead Avenue woman told Whitefish Police she was watching the Kim Kardashian sex tape — the one with Ray J — when her computer suddenly locked up. An officer investigated because the woman was afraid she had inadvertently downloaded child pornography. The officer advised the woman that she had gotten a computer virus and needed to get the machine repaired.

Someone stole a wallet and messenger bag from an office on Baker Avenue.

Credit card hackers are operating in the area, a caller warned.


Earlier Tuesday morning, an Orchard Ridge Road woman told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that she’s not happy about her neighbors starting to work on a construction project at their home at 6:20 a.m. She thinks they should start working at 7 a.m.

A chain saw, air compressor and drill were reported stolen on Rose Crossing.

A man on Sherman Road reported finding a “drug grow” in his home. The man said he found a small bag of marijuana and a pot with seeds in it and asked deputies to respond before the kids got out of school.

Five golf carts were missing from a golf course.

A Bigfork woman is having trouble with kids who keep skateboarding on the roof of her home.


Wednesday afternoon, Kalispell Police counseled a 9-year-old girl and her 16-year-old sister who were caught shoplifting at a store on North Main Street. An officer made contact with their mother, but a store employee later called to report threats made by the father of the two girls.

A man visited the police lobby to report that 25 people attacked him and his partner. The man said the attack left him with a fractured face and was planned as part of a hate crime.

A 911 caller was trying to get a wake-up call at a local hotel. Another 911 caller a few minutes later was trying to call India.

Tuesday evening, a woman said someone stole her car seat while she was vacuuming her van at a car wash. She had taken the seat out of the van to vacuum.

A young boy riding a bike on the bike path along U.S. 93 reportedly pushed another boy off a bike and then spit on him.

An iPod, knives and TV were stolen from a home on Sixth Avenue East North.

People loading up a car on First Avenue West North to go to the airport said someone driving by stopped and stole a computer and other stuff out of the garage when they weren’t looking.


A woman told Columbia Falls Police that she keeps hearing men rustling around in some bushes on her property. She asked officers to do extra patrols in the area.

A caller on B Street East North is concerned about kids playing near a house that recently burned. Officers said they are aware of the situation and watching for the kids.
