Scooper practice

A pair of CL-215 “Super Scoopers” from Alaska practice water drops Tuesday at the Sky Ranch Airfield south of Kalispell. The two planes, which were scooping up heavy payloads of water from Flathead Lake, have been staged at Glacier Park International Airport for the last couple of weeks to assist with any fires in the region if necessary. The extent of their stay at the airport will depend on when changing weather lowers the fire danger.
