Four charged in federal pornography indictments
A 47-year-old Polson man is one of four men indicted on charges of child exploitation enterprise and conspiracy to advertise child pornography.
Paul Wencewicz also faces obstruction of justice charges.
Other men charged are Steve Humiston, 56, of Tacoma, Wash.; John Johnson, 57, of Locust Grove, Va.; and Scott Long, 53, of Portland, Ore.
The four men have all been detained.
They were arraigned and pleaded not guilty to the charges Aug. 30 in federal court in Missoula, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The indictments are the result of a cooperative investigation between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bozeman Police Department.
If convicted of child exploitation enterprise, each man faces a mandatory minimum of 20 years in prison and could be sentenced to life and a $250,000 fine.
Conspiracy to advertise child pornography charges carry a mandatory minimum of 15 to 30 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and a minimum of five years supervision.
Wencewicz also faces 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years supervised release if convicted of obstruction of justice.
