Glacier triumphs in midnight marathon

GREAT FALLS — The Glacier Wolfpack came back from a three-hour lightning delay to defeat C.M Russell 20-14 early Saturday in Class AA football, according to the Great Falls Tribune.

Play was suspended until 12:37 a.m. Saturday with the teams tied 14-14 late in the third quarter.

Brady McChesney tossed a 39-yard scoring pass to Logan Jones in the fourth quarter to give Glacier its winning margin.

The marathon game ended at 1:13 a.m. Saturday

Earlier, Glacier tailback Noah James scored two touchdowns in the first half to lead the Wolfpack to an early 14-0 lead.

CMR answered with a pair of running touchdowns in the late second and third quarters before the storms swept in.
