This is sure to generate lots of trouble

The Whitefish Police Department responded to a complaint from a Spokane Avenue resident who found a pawn ticket for his generator in a renter’s room. He went to the pawn shop and reclaimed it, but it cost him $180. He wanted something done about the matter.

A car on Baker Avenue was reportedly left out in the sun with several dogs inside. When an officer arrived to check it out, the dogs were no longer there. The owner of the vehicle was working out and was advised against leaving her pups in the heat.

A motorist on Baker Avenue was concerned with cars passing slower vehicles in the bicycle lane. She thought someone was bound to get hurt if these vehicles keep breaking the law.

A red border collie with a green collar and no tags was found running loose at Depot Park.

The construction workers on East Second Street complained about a little car that was ignoring the flagger’s warnings. It was pulled over and the driver was told any more complaints about his driving would end in a citation.

The Minot, N.D., Police Department called looking for the parents of a 15-year old girl they had in custody. She claimed she was from Whitefish. The parents couldn’t be contacted at that time.

A heavily intoxicated female at a Central Avenue bar was attacking another customer and the bartender. She was told to cool her heels outside the bar.

Yet another drunk on Central Avenue was stubbornly refusing to leave an establishment even after being asked several times. He was becoming disorderly.


The Columbia Falls Police Department received a call from an angry citizen on Second Avenue regarding his neighbor’s constantly barking dogs. He said it was an ongoing issue and he was planning on calling three of four times a day until it was handled. The dogs were quiet when officers arrived and the caller was told multiple parties would need to make complaints.

A 22-year old female who was on probation was drinking and gambling on Ninth Street West. An anonymous tipster informed her parole officer.
