Volleyball: Glacier drills Hellgate in 3
MISSOULA — The Glacier volleyball team swept Missoula Hellgate, 25-8, 25-23, 25-14, in its Western AA opener Saturday.
Glacier (3-0 overall, 1-0 Western AA) had a 38-8 edge in kills and served 12 aces to Hellgate’s six.
Cassi Hashley led the Wolfpack with 12 kills. She also served a match-high five aces, had two blocks and tallied a match-high 16 digs.
“She played a phenomenal match,” Glacier coach Christy Harkins said of Hashley. “I think our two other kids that played very well were Tessa Krueger and Hannah Atlee. Even though they don’t show up in the stats as much, they were a close second in most categories.”
Atlee finished with two blocks and setter Hannah Liss tallied 30 of Glacier’s 31 assists.
Glacier returns to the court Thursday when it plays Billings West in Great Falls.
