<p>A pair of CL-215 Super Scoopers from Alaska practice water drops Tuesday at the Sky Ranch Airfield south of Kalispell. The two planes, which were scooping up heavy payloads of water from Flathead Lake, have been staged at Glacier Park International Airport for the last couple of weeks to assist with any fires in the region if necessary. The extent of their stay at the airport will depend on when changing weather lowers the fire danger.</p>

<p>Joe Torres is pictured with Stoney, a 1-year-old American bully, at Big Sky Bully Pit Bulls just north of Kalispell. Torres describes Stoney as one of the smaller pocket bullies he has seen. For Torres the appeal of the dogs comes from their loyalty, temperament and personality. They are the most animated breed Ive seen and are great for families, Torres said.</p><div> </div>
<p>Margaret Kauffman and Mary Lapp were two of the ladies who gathered for quilting Thursday at Mountain View Mennonite Church near Creston. The quilt was made by Holly Laurens and is being quilted as a wedding gift for her daughter, Lynmarie. </p><div> </div>
