Liverpool Legends bring Fab Four to life
Whitefish Theatre Company kicks off its 2013-14 season with a Beatles tribute band in concert.
Liverpool Legends performs at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20 and 21 at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center.
The band promises “the complete Beatles experience.” With precise attention to every musical detail, along with costume changes, vintage instruments and special effects, Liverpool Legends promises to make audiences feel like they are watching the real Fab Four.
Liverpool Legends features four musicians and actors who were hand-picked by Louise Harrison — sister of the late George Harrison — to recreate the band. Louise Harrison’s involvement with Liverpool Legends makes them the only band in the world with a close, direct biological link to the original Beatles.
“Liverpool Legends present the very best portrayal of the Beatles that I have ever seen,” she says.
Kevin Mantegna plays John Lennon, Bob Beahon portrays Paul McCartney, Marty Scott is George Harrison and Greg George plays Ringo Starr.
Headlining their own production in Branson, Mo., since 2006, Liverpool Legends have been voted Best New Show, Best Band and Best Show. In 2012, the band was nominated for a Grammy Award for its work on “Fab Fan Memories: A Beatles Bond.”
Recently, Liverpool Legends were chosen over every other Beatles tribute band in the world by top television and film producer Jerry Bruckheimer (”CSI,” “Pirates of the Caribbean”) to the portray the band that revolutionized rock music.
“Phenomenal in every way — their show is pure magic!” Bruckheimer says.
Members of Liverpool Legends have toured the world, playing in historic venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Cavern Club in Liverpool and recording at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London. They have appeared on The Travel Channel’s “Beatlemania Britain” and headlined International Beatles Week in Liverpool, where 100,000 Beatles fans jammed Victoria Street to hear them in concert.
Liverpool Legends will perform songs that span the Beatles’ entire career and its members’ solo years. Preview several Liverpool Legends songs on their website, www.liverpoollegends.com or watch their videos on YouTube.
