Cabela's store to open on Nov. 7

 The new Kalispell Cabela’s Outpost store on the west side of U.S. 93 near West Reserve Drive will open at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Cabela’s executives and special guests will begin at 10:45 a.m.

Opening day will begin a weekend-long celebration featuring outdoor celebrities, giveaways and more.

The 42,000-square-foot Kalispell location is Cabela’s second in Montana, joining the Billings location opened in 2009. The company recently announced plans to open a 42,000-square-foot Cabela’s Outpost store in Missoula in 2014.

The Kalispell location will employ more than 75 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees.

“Through our recent hiring process we have chosen outdoorsmen and women who are passionate about outdoor recreation and customer service,” said Jessica Godderz, retail marketing manager for the new Kalispell store. “We look forward to the grand opening and being able to serve this unique community who make recreating in the outdoors one of their highest priorities.”

Cabela’s Outpost stores are designed for efficiency, flexibility and convenience, and are generally located in markets of less than 250,000 people. The store will include a Core-Flex floor plan featuring seasonal product assortments, a rugged outdoor look and feel, wildlife displays and more.

Cabela’s operates 47 stores across North America with plans to open an additional 17 stores over the next two years. Cabela’s is the world’s largest direct marketer of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise.
