Soccer roundup: Milheim's 2 goals lift Bravettes over Bruins
Anna Milheim scored twice as the Flathead girls soccer team downed Helena Capital 4-0 at Kidsports Complex Saturday.
The Bravettes lead 3-0 at halftime after goals from Lara Zander, Meredith Wilson and Milheim. Milheim added her second on a penalty kick in the 70th minute.
“Today was really a continuation of what we started in the second half yesterday against Helena High, which was great possession soccer,” Flathead coach Cory Wilson said. “Everyone from the back on up looked to play to feet. We really controlled the tempo and time of possession. It was an all-around team effort. The closest thing we’ve had to playing a full 80-minute game this year.”
The win came a day after Flathead (2-2) lost 3-0 to Helena High.
