Audition for 'Frozen' with Whitefish Theatre
Whitefish Theatre Company will hold auditions for its Black Curtain Theatre production of “Frozen” Oct. 6 at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. Actors are asked to arrive early to the green room to fill out an audition application and review the script.
Compassionate, angry and humane, “Frozen” is an extraordinary play that entwines the lives of a murderer, the mother of one of his victims and his psychologist to explore our capacity for forgiveness, remorse and change after an act that would seem to rule them out entirely.
The story unfolds through a rotation of monologues from each of the three main characters. Drawn together by horrific circumstances, these three embark on a long, dark journey which finally curves upward into the light.
The cast will be made up of two women and two men, ages 21 and older. No experience or preparation is necessary to audition. Pages from the script will be provided.
Gail Cleveland is the director for this production. As a Black Curtain show, actors will remain on book during performances, and there will be minimal costumes and set.
Total time commitment for this production is approximately three weeks of rehearsal. Rehearsals will be held two to three times a week as determined by the director and the chosen cast members.
Performances are scheduled for Nov. 2 and 3.
