| September 18, 2013 6:00 PM

The 20th annual Glacier Jazz Stampede is Oct. 3 through 6 in downtown Kalispell.

The event kicks off at 8 p.m. Oct. 3 with an opening party in the Eagles ballroom, featuring music by the Yerba Buena Stompers and Grand Dominion Jazz Band. The festival continues at the Eagles Club and the Red Lion Hotel Kalispell over the next few days.

Bands come from all over the United States to perform at the Glacier Jazz Stampede. And while they all play jazz, several sub-genres are represented, from Dixieland to smooth jazz to big band.

In addition to Yerba Buena and Grand Dominion, this year’s performers include High Sierra, Titan Hot 7, Blue Street Jazz Band, Uptown Lowdown, Ivory & Gold, Reynolds Brothers Rhythm Rascals, Jeff Barnhart, Robbie Rhodes, the Don Lawrence Orchestra, Pizzazz Jazz Combo, Swingin’ on High, the Rocky Mountain Rhythm Kings, Flathead Society Orchestra, Company Brass, the Rex Rieke Trio, Dianne Dunne and Linda Ensign.

All-event passes are on sale for $80 through Sept. 30. Starting Oct. 1, the price goes up to $90.

Tickets are $15 for the Oct. 3 kickoff, $30 for all day Friday, $35 each for all day Saturday and Sunday, and $10 for Sunday night.
