| September 18, 2013 6:00 PM

Flathead Valley LIVE on Stage, partnering with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, is presenting a benefit concert Sept. 29.

The show starts at 6 p.m. at the Flathead High School auditorium.

The concert will showcase the nonprofit music association’s newly renovated Steinway concert piano. Flathead Valley LIVE on Stage spent almost $8,000 refurbishing the instrument over the summer.

Many well-known local pianists are donating their time and talent for the show, including Craig Barton, Penni Chisholm, Eric Dye, Kirk Passmore, Nina Robart, Reggie Houston, Alma Ramlow and Dan Kohnstamm. They will perform many different music styles, from jazz to classical and everything in between.

Other musicians slated to perform include Rob Quist; a piano, clarinet and voice trip featuring Maryruth Fallon, Dinah Weimer and Suzie Rohrbach; and violinist Wai Mizutani accompanied by Ladeine Thompson on piano.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes place at 1 p.m. at Kidsports. All who participate in the walk will be admitted for free to the concert.

General admission is $10. Tickets are available at Sykes’, Snappy Sport Senter and Loren’s Auto Repair.
