Museum screens 'Horse Feathers'
The Museum at Central School screens Marx Brothers mayhem in the 1932 comedy classic "Horse Feathers" Tuesday.
The free screening starts at 7 p.m.
Groucho Marx stars as Professor Quincy Adams Wagstaff, who is appointed head of Huxley College in this laugh riot that does to academe's ivy-covered halls what “Duck Soup” inflicted on military-minded hawks.
Most of the fast-flying action centers on the big football game with rival Darwin College. When Groucho mistakes brothers Chico and Harpo for gridiron ringers and then hires them to kidnap the real athletes, mayhem ensues.
The black-and-white film is 67 minutes long.
Anyone may attend. Donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of acquiring and showing the films.
The movie and popcorn are free, and wine, beer, pop and water will be for sale. Seating is provided, but people may also bring their own floor pillows, portable chairs or whatever is comfortable for viewing the film.
Film Club regulars should note the monthly screenings return to the last Tuesday of the month for the rest of the year.
The Museum at Central School is located at 124 Second Ave. E. in Kalispell. Call 756-8381 for more information.
