Richard Lee Harmon, 76

Richard Lee Harmon, 76, died Sept. 17, 2013, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

He was born on Aug. 23, 1937, to Thomas Wilbur and Myrtle Blanche (Fox) Harmon in Ashland, Kan.    He attended all his years of school in Ashland.

After high school he joined the Air Force, serving in North Africa and Opheim, Mont., for four years and nine months.

He met his wife, Janet Paulson, while serving in Opheim. They were married Aug. 21, 1960. They celebrated 53 years of marriage. To this union, two sons were born, Randall Eugene and David Allen.

He worked for Grimes Homegas, which was later purchased by Joe Stevens, for 19 years. He then worked for the Ashland District Hospital for 15 years, retiring because of health issues. After retirement they moved to Kalispell. Richard loved the mountains.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Randy, and wife, Evelyn, of Ashland; and son, David, and wife, Jennifer, of Dodge City, Kan.; one grandson, Matt Harmon, of Ashland; two granddaughters, Alexxa and Samantha Harmon of Dodge City; one brother, Bob, and wife, Kay Harmon, of Ashland; a sister, Luann Stoecker, of Mobridge, S.D.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister- and brother-in-laws, and friends.

At his request, no services will be held.
