Hikers get out before search starts
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday regarding a group of hikers getting into bad weather while attempting to climb Great Northern Mountain and having trouble getting back. The hikers managed to get out just as a search was starting to be organized.
A Lone Start Trail resident reported that one of her goats was killed by something. The matter was referred to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
There was a report of items stolen from a boat while it was parked on Elias Lane in Somers.
A mountain bike was taken out of the back of a pickup truck and tools were stolen from inside the vehicle sometime overnight.
A man calling from Echo Lake reported that he and his son were threatened by another man, who then followed them around the lake and again approached the reporting party at a boat ramp.
A woman calling from Pleasant View Drive reported that her elderly husband, who had been drinking, pulled a pistol on her and threatened to shoot her.
A woman calling from East Evergreen Drive said a woman was driving by her house shouting obscenities at her children. It turns out the reporting party’s husband had been living with the woman but has since returned home.
A wood splitter, wood and tools were reported stolen from a business on Montana 40 west of Columbia Falls.
Odds and ends were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Colter Loop in the Bigfork area.
An intoxicated man who was yelling and cursing on Redfield Lane in Lakeside ended up getting arrested for disorderly conduct.
There was a report of three men with flashlights attempting to break into vehicles on Steven Road near Kalispell. After getting caught by the reporting party, they fled the scene.
At about 1 a.m. Monday, there was a report of a purse and wallet with $150 in it stolen from a vehicle on East Evergreen Drive.
Kalispell Police got a stolen vehicle report Sunday from a man who said he left his broken-down Harley-Davidson Sportster at Second Street East and Third Avenue East, and when he returned it was no longer there.

At about 9:50 a.m. Monday, someone calling from Barron Way claimed to have seen three wolves and a Doberman running together. A responding officer ended up finding a German shepherd and a black Lab in the area.

There was a report of someone using bolt cutters to get through a fence to steal a power washer from a location on Cemetery Road and U.S. 93 South. The theft was captured on a surveillance camera.

Whitefish Police got a report Sunday regarding criminal mischief at a Central Avenue business where planters were turned over.
Columbia Falls Police got a visit Sunday from a man who reported his wallet had been stolen.
A resident of an apartment complex reported that a neighbor keeps bothering other neighbors, approaching them to drink alcohol with him. The man was contacted and counseled.
