C-Falls up to No. 2 in Class A football poll

Columbia Falls moved up to No. 2 in the Associated Press Class A high school football poll released Wednesday.

Columbia Falls (4-0) concluded the nonconference portion of its schedule on Friday with a win over Anaconda while previous No. 1 Billings Central (4-1) lost to new No. 1 Dillon (3-0). Billings Central fell to third in Class A, while Sidney (4-0) and Hamilton (3-1) entered the poll at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.

Glacier (3-1) fell from No. 4 to No. 5 in Class AA despite thumping Missoula Hellgate 40-0. Butte traded places with Glacier while the top three of Bozeman (4-0), Helena Capital (4-0) and Helena High (4-0) remained the same.

Bigfork (3-0) held onto the No.4 ranking in Class B. Missoula Loyola (2-0), Huntley Project (4-0) and Baker (3-0) are first, second and third, respectively.

Unbeaten Ennis (3-0) and Wibaux (4-0) traded places atop the Class C 8-man poll while Geraldine-Highwood (3-0) remained atop Class C 6-man.
