Grizzly kills sheep on Farm to Market
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a call from Farm to Market Road about a grizzly bear breaking into a sheep pen and killing at least three sheep. The matter was referred to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks personnel.
A woman calling from Cynthia Drive reported that someone entered her residence and stole jewelry sometime over the last few days.
A person calling from Lesley Avenue in the Somers area reported finding a two-person, red kayak that was full of water in Flathead Lake. The kayak was going to be left at the yacht club in Somers in case someone reports it missing.
A Hidden Lane resident said she was being threatened and harassed by neighbors who also drove through her yard.
Someone calling from the yacht club in Somers reported that a search and rescue boat was in trouble, banging into the docks, because of stormy conditions on Flathead Lake.
An employee at an eatery on Montana 35 in Bigfork said she was disturbed by a strange man who entered the store and told her he would come back to get her later. She requested an extra patrol in the area.
Kalispell Police got a report Monday from Kalispell School District personnel about eight school buses vandalized with spray paint sometime Sunday night. The district had to use the buses because there weren’t sufficient backup buses, but efforts were underway to get them cleaned up.
Also Monday morning, a Kalispell school district employee reported bathrooms at a school on Second Avenue West were vandalized with graffiti.
There was a report of a basement kitchen broken into on U.S. 93 South, but apparently nothing was stolen.
A person calling from North Meridian Road said his iPad had been stolen sometime over the last week.
There was a report of a purse, wallet and other items stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Barron Way.
An intoxicated woman reported she was punched in the face by a man while visiting a residence on 10th Avenue West.
A Two Mile Drive resident reported a theft of pain pills.
Pro-life demonstrators at a clinic on Liberty Street and North Meridian Road reported being approached by two woman who screamed vulgarities, grabbed a protest sign and kicked one of the demonstrators.
Whitefish Police got a call Sunday from a woman on State Park Road who said she found garbage strewn all over the place, along with bear scat. She added that she was concerned about going outside with her dog.
A nearby neighbor later called to complain about dogs constantly barking for some reason.
