Wintry weather shrouds high country of Glacier
It was a wintry scene Monday afternoon on Logan Pass in Glacier National Park, prompting Going-to-the-Sun Road to be closed temporarily to vehicular traffic at The Loop.
Weather conditions on the higher elevations of Going-to-the-Sun Road included 30- to 40-mph winds at Big Bend, slush and ice on the road, low clouds and limited visibility.
In addition, more than 8 inches of snow had fallen at Logan Pass.
More snow and wind are expected Tuesday and Wednesday in the high country of Glacier Park, although the weather should clear up by the end of the week.
