Neighbor part of barking-dog problem

A Foothill Road woman, reported by her neighbors for having a dog that barks all the time, told a Flathead County Sheriff’s deputy that she had bought bark collars for the dogs and was trying to take care of the issue but her neighbor was contributing to the problem by camping along the fenceline and shooting off a gun, causing the dogs to bark.

A house sitter on Renegade Ridge Road called the Sheriff’s Office after the residents’ dog got out of the yard and nearby construction workers picked up the pooch and refused to return it. An animal control officer took the dog and had it checked out by a veterinarian before returning it to its owner.

A man was permanently banned from a U.S. 2 West gas station after having been told multiple times he was not allowed to bring his dog inside and continuing to do so, most recently taking the dog with him into the trucker’s lounge area.

A man was dropped off at his mother’s home after reporting he had been assaulted by the owner of a U.S. 2 West bar, although he was too afraid of retribution to ask for charges to be pressed.

A woman was reported driving an all-terrain vehicle carrying three youths 3 to 12 years old up and down Riley Lane — and none of them were wearing helmets or safety gear.

Kalispell Police Department officers were unable to locate a man wearing white stockings, a garter belt, exaggerated red lipstick, makeup, a pink shoulder-length wig and black jacket in Lawrence Park.

A flustered Fourth Avenue West woman contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department to report her “crazy neighbor” was beating on her door. A responding officer said the incident was verbal only.

A woman was arrested for drunk driving after multiple motorists reported she kept going off the road, passing unsafely and speeding on Montana 40 West.

A Nucleus Avenue bartender called for help getting a very drunk patron home after she was unable to find him a taxi.
