Rosella B. Ober Schultz, 91
Rosella B. Ober Schultz, 91, of Polson, died Friday, April 4, 2014, at St. Luke Extended Care of natural causes.
Rose was born March 16, 1923, in Des Moines, Iowa, to John Ober and Bertha McIntosh Ober. Rose's adventures started at the age of 4 with a car ride from Iowa to Montana in a Maxwell with her Mom, Dad and four siblings. The family settled in the Dayton area where two more siblings were born.
On November 15, 1941, Rose married the love of her life, Arland Schultz. Together they were an ambitious pair and left to work in Seattle during the war. Rose worked for Boeing during their time there, while Arlie worked in the shipyards. After four years they returned to Dayton and began their family. All five of their children were raised in the Dayton area.
Rose was an active member of the Presbyterian Church and community of Dayton where she and Arlie lived for many years. In 1989 they moved to Polson where Rose volunteered at the Country Store for several years.
Rose was a resilient lady who was very loved by her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who believed in and worked for the Lord and did her best to instill that faith in her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Arlie, sisters Stella and Esther, and brother Bobby.
Survivors include sisters Twilla Walker, Grace Hartsoch, and Virginia Schultz; children Bill (Diane) and Wesley (Darcy), all of Polson; Wayne (Jane) of Sisters, Ore.; Doug (Becky) of Dayton; and Wanda (Pete Halpin) of Columbia Falls; grandchildren Lisa (Dan) Kinyon, Jon (Kelly) Schultz, Ryan (Jessica) Schultz, Randee (Aaron) Benson, Jeremy (Ashley) Wetzel, Joel Wetzel, Tyler Wetzel and Josh Schultz; and 12 great-grandchildren.
At Rose's request private family services will be held at a later time.
