Crosstown Boxing Smoker bouts released
The final card has been released for tonight’s fifth annual Crosstown Boxing Smoker presented by the Flathead Wreslting Association and Glacier Wrestling Association at Flathead County Fairgrounds Trade Center.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the first fight scheduled for 6:30.
A fundraiser for wrestling programs in the area, the event will feature 14 fights, consisting of three one-minute rounds.
Of the fighters, 11 are from Flathead, nine from Glacier, seven from Columbia Falls and one from Bigfork.
The lone female matchup will feature Krystan Jones of Columbia Falls and Ashlie Wise of Flathead.
Tickets to the event are $20 for ringside seats, $15 for adult general admission and $10 for student general admission. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at Universal Athletic Service, Pro-Build and Twisted Bliss.
Money raised is used for wrestling camp and college scholarships, second-day meals for the high school teams, to purchase equipment like computers to video tape matches and to stipend extra coaches.
More than 1,400 people attended last year’s smoker, and an even bigger turnout is expected this year.
The event has raised more than $50,000 for area wrestling programs in the last four years.
Glacier, Flathead, Columbia Falls, Bigfork, Whtefish and Little Guy wrestling programs in Evergreen and Kalispell also benefit from the fundrasing opportunity.
